Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Update

To Our Residents, Family Members, and Community Partners,

Coronavirus (COVID-19) has required us to act swiftly to protect our residents, staff, and Community. At Ennis Care Center, we understand our residents are among the most vulnerable. We can assure you the health and safety of your loved one is our primary concern, and every effort is being made to provide a safe environment for our residents.

To prevent and contain the potential spread of COVID-19, we continue to closely follow guidelines by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as state and local authorities. Routine testing of our staff also plays a key role in our COVID-19 prevention efforts.

Given our community’s priority status, residents and staff have already begun receiving COVID-19 vaccinations administered through our partnership with Walgreens. Walgreens will be on-site to administer the vaccines to any residents or staff members choosing to receive it. Ennis Care Center is proud of the extremely high compliancy rate of our staff and residents opting to protect themselves, those most vulnerable, and our community by obtaining the COVID-19 vaccination.

Under new rules by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, we have also begun to reopen to limited visitation. Approved visitors will need to abide by preventative policies to protect the safety of our residents, staff, and visitors.

We strongly believe connection is imperative in elevating the well-being of our residents. As such, we encourage you to reach out to our staff so we may assist you in scheduling visitation with your loved one or setting up alternative means of connecting, such as video chats, window visits, phone calls, emails, or writing letters.

As the world continues to adapt to this new normal, you can rest assured that we will keep prioritizing safety, compassion, and uncompromised care in all decisions we make. We thank you for your trust as we continue to navigate this time together and provide a safe haven for our beloved residents.
